Best on a tablet or a computer

Everything below tells you what DocketPDF™ does. The program itself wants room: a page grid you drag across, an index panel beside it, a page editor with an alignment grid. Those need a tablet, laptop or desktop screen.

Accessibility statement

Filing a document should not require perfect eyesight or a steady hand. This page states honestly what DocketPDF™ does well, what it does badly, and what we are doing about the second list.

Our aim

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across this website and the application. We have not commissioned an independent audit, so we do not claim conformance — we claim intent, plus the specific list below.

What works today

  • Interface scaling. A master size control for the whole application, plus independent scaling for the top bar, the index panel and the thumbnail rail.
  • Five themes, including a dark one and a high-contrast neutral one, with separate control of accent, text and panel-surface colours so you can build the contrast you need rather than the contrast we chose.
  • Three typeface options and a custom font slot: load your own .ttf, .otf or .woff, including a dyslexia-friendly face.
  • Keyboard operation of the page grid: arrow keys nudge a placed object, Shift plus arrows nudge further, Ctrl and the wheel zooms, and undo and redo are standard.
  • A visible focus indicator on every interactive element, never suppressed.
  • Reduced motion. This website honours the operating-system “reduce motion” setting and stops all animation when it is on.
  • Pointer alternatives for signing. Draw with a mouse, a stylus or a finger, or upload an image instead of drawing at all.

Where it falls short

Being straightforward about this is more useful than a badge.

  • Screen reader support in the page grid is incomplete. Thumbnails are announced by page number and source file, but drag-to-reorder has no fully equivalent screen-reader flow yet. This is the largest gap and the current priority.
  • The page editor is visual by nature. Placing a stamp, a signature or a redaction box depends on seeing the page. Keyboard nudging helps with precision but not with the initial placement.
  • Some dense panels rely on colour to distinguish met from unmet requirements. Every such row also carries an icon and a text label, but the colour is doing real work and we would rather it did not.
  • No formal audit has been carried out, so there will be problems on this list that we do not know about.

If something blocks you

Write to support@docketpdf.net and put “Accessibility” in the subject. Tell us what you were trying to do, what assistive technology you use and where it stopped. We will reply within five business days, and an accessibility barrier that stops you filing something is treated as a fault, not a feature request.

If a barrier prevents you completing a filing and there is a deadline, say so in the first line and we will treat it as urgent.

Alternative arrangements

If part of the application is not usable for you and the work is time-critical, write in and we will help you get the document assembled another way while the underlying problem is fixed. That offer stands whether or not you are a subscriber.
