The principle. Either of us can walk away at any time. Commission you have properly earned is a debt we owe you, and ending the arrangement does not cancel it. The only balance that is ever forfeited is one built out of referrals that were not genuine.
1. You end it
1.1 Leave from your account page whenever you like. No notice, no reason, no conversation.
1.2 The button is only offered when your balance is zero, so that leaving cannot be the thing that loses you money by accident. If you have a balance and want to go, write to support: everything payable is paid out, anything on hold is paid when it clears, and the account is closed after that.
1.3 Your link and your code stop attributing new signups the moment the account closes.
1.4 Referrals already attributed to you stop earning. The twelve-month window on each of them closes with the account.
1.5 Take our name and our creative down. The licence to use them ends when the account does.
2. We end it, without cause
2.1 We may close an affiliate account for any reason, on fourteen days’ notice by email.
2.2 During those fourteen days your link keeps working and keeps earning.
2.3 Everything payable is paid on the next ordinary pay date, and the fifty-dollar minimum is waived.
2.4 Anything still inside its thirty-day hold is paid when the hold clears, on the ordinary schedule. You do not have to be an active affiliate to be paid for commission already earned.
3. We end it, for cause
3.1 We may close an affiliate account immediately, with no notice, where you have:
- signed up through your own link, or arranged for accounts to be created that would not otherwise have existed;
- sent unsolicited email, SMS or messages at scale;
- claimed to be us, or to be authorised by us;
- bid on our name in paid search after being told to stop;
- cloaked, injected or hidden your referral link;
- made false claims about the product, or promised a legal outcome;
- done anything unlawful in the course of promoting us.
3.2 Commission on the affected referrals is void. Commission on referrals that were plainly genuine is not — a breach in one place does not forfeit money properly earned somewhere else.
3.3 Where the breach was systematic enough that no referral on the account can be relied on, the whole balance may be forfeited. This is the only circumstance in which that happens, and we will set out in writing why we reached it.
3.4 You may reply to any decision under this section, and we will read the reply before it becomes final.
4. Suspension, which is not termination
4.1 We may pause an account while we look into something, rather than closing it.
4.2 A paused account keeps earning. Nothing is paid out while it is paused.
4.3 You are told what the question is and given a chance to answer it. We aim to decide within fourteen days and will tell you if it will take longer.
4.4 If the question resolves in your favour, the account resumes and everything held goes out on the next run.
5. Your own account is separate
5.1 Closing your affiliate account does nothing to your own subscription. You remain a member on whatever plan you are on.
5.2 Closing your own membership account does close the affiliate account, because the two are the same person and payouts are addressed through it. Write to support first if you have a balance.
5.3 A member banned from the site for reasons unrelated to the programme is paid what the ledger shows they earned before the ban. A ban is not a way of keeping somebody’s commission.
6. We end the programme
6.1 We may withdraw the affiliate programme entirely, on thirty days’ notice by email to every affiliate.
6.2 During those thirty days everything works as normal.
6.3 After it: every payable balance is paid with the minimum waived, and every commission still inside its hold is paid when it clears.
6.4 No balance is forfeited because we chose to stop running the programme.
7. What survives
7.1 Our obligation to pay commission properly earned before termination.
7.2 Your obligation to take our name and creative down, and not to hold yourself out as connected to us.
7.3 The indemnity, the limit of liability, and the set-off right in the affiliate agreement.
7.4 The record-keeping and retention described in the affiliate privacy notice, for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
8. Rejoining
8.1 If you left of your own accord, you may rejoin. Your old code is reissued where it is still available.
8.2 Referrals attributed to you before you left do not come back with you, and their earning windows do not reopen.
8.3 An account closed for cause under section 3 is not eligible to rejoin, unless we agree in writing that it is.
